Pronouns: He/Him/His
Hi! I'm a third-year Ph.D. student born and raised in Chongqing, China. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, studying both philosophy and history. I wrote my undergraduate honors thesis on the philosophy of moral progress and social change under the supervision of Allen Buchanan.
My primary research interests are in social and political philosophy(broadly construed). I'm particularly interested in the interplay of colonialism, imperialism, nationalism, internationalism, and freedom. I also have a strong interest in PPE and philosophical methodology. For my research, I aim to take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on a diverse set of philosophical traditions(both analytic and continental/critical theory) and empirical disciplines, with a special focus on history, sociology, moral psychology, and political science.
