I am a first-year Ph.D. student with interests in social and political philosophy, ethics, political theory, postcolonialism, global justice, and Islamic philosophy. I hold an M.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Philosophy, with a minor in Linguistics, from George Mason University. I also hold an M.A. in Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C. Before starting my Ph.D. at Penn, I taught various philosophy courses at Howard University and Marymount University, among other colleges. Before that, I spent some time teaching English to adult speakers of other languages. Outside of my studies, I enjoy traveling and making the most of my time with my family, which includes my wife and two kids.
