In a lighthearted moment during the COVID-19 pandemic, Professor Susan Meyer's online Coursera class included an unexpected student: singer-songwriter Shakira. In an Instagram video posted by her husband, Gerard Piqué, Shakira can be seen watching the lecture and taking notes. Speaking to the DP, Dr, Meyer expressed her appreciation for the student's dilligence: "“[Shakira taking the course] has been really cool,” Meyer said. “It was great to see she was taking the course but even greater to see she was taking notes and taking it seriously. It warms a teacher's heart.”
