PSA member Emily C. Parke has been awarded the 2017 Marjorie Grene Prize for her essay, 'Experiments, Simulations, and Epistemic Privilege' (Philosophy of Science, 2014, 81(4), 516–536). The Marjorie Grene Prize is awarded by the International Society for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Biology and named in honor of Marjorie Grene (1910–2009). The Marjorie Grene Prize is intended to advance the careers of younger scholars. It is awarded every two years for the best manuscript based on a presentation at one of the two previous ISHPSSB meetings by someone who was, at the time of presentation, a graduate student.
