A seminar discussion of a paper by Sally Haslanger that addresses the normative issues: how should we evaluate social structures? This paper considers how normative evaluation connects with the social domain: how does social evaluation work as distinct from the evaluation of individuals and the evaluation of states or policies?
Participants in the seminar should read the paper below. The discussion will open with brief remarks by Professor Haslanger and prepared comments by Professor Anita Allen-Castellitto of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and by Professor Elizabeth Harman of Princeton University.
