Alex Tolbert has submitted his dissertation for defense. It is entitled Race, Algorithms, and Causality: An Investigation into Equity and Bias. A copy is located here. 

The defense will take place on Monday, June 26th at 11:00 AM (EST) in Cohen 493.

Alex's committee members are Quayshawn Spencer (co-supervisor), Michael Kearns (co-supervisor), Anita Allen (co-supervisor), Aaron Roth, Samuel Freeman, and Scott Weinstein.
