Associate Professor Karen Detlefsen has been awarded a 3-year Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SHRCC) Partnership Development Grant in order to develop global partnerships around expanding research and teaching in the history of philosophy, especially concerning the inclusion of texts written by women in the history of philosophy. Professor Detlefsen is a co-recipient of the grant along with Lisa Schapiro of Simon Fraser University (PI) and Marguerite Deslauriers of McGill University.  The recipients of the grant will work with academic institutions, publishers, and public media in 11 countries across 4 continents.  The present grant will allow them to compete for a further 7-year grant to continue this important project.
